You may want to try out these macrobiotic diets and juices that can help optimise vibrancy and health prepared for us by Sarah Cardona, Natural Juice Therapist (NJT MCMA). Always check with your nutritionist or dietician if you suffer from diabetes, renal disease or other chronic conditions.
Guacamole (Avocado Dip)
  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 1 small red onion (finely diced)
  • 1 small red chilli (seeds removed)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Some rock/sea/Himalayan salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • A little virgin olive oil
Step one: Remove stone from avocados and either place in a food processor for a smoother guacamole or chop all by hand for a chunkier version.
Step two: Add in other ingredients and pulse until you have a smooth dip. Place in a bowl and drizzle some olive oil. Serve with crudités, carrots celery, cucumber or maybe some toasted rye bread.

Strawberry Chia Seed Jam
  • 4 cups of strawberries
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds and extra if needed to thicken
  • Squeeze of lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of raw honey or maple syrup
Step one: Add  chopped strawberries to pan over medium heat. Cook for around 10 mins until strawberries break down and become liquidy and soft.
Step two: Remove from heat. Mash with a fork or potato masher until you have desired consistency. Stir in a squeeze of lemon and honey or maple syrup.
Add chia seeds and stir well.
Step three: Leave to stand for 10 minutes or more to thicken. Transfer to sealed jar and keep in fridge for 1 week or freeze half up to 3 months.

Oat Cakes
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • Pinch of Himalayan salt
Step one: Place all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Heat a pan with a little coconut oil, pour in enough to make a medium pancake, and spread into shape quickly.
Step two: Cook until brown and turn over and brown the other side. Place on a plate and continue with the rest of the mixture.
Step three: Serve warm or cold and can even be frozen. Stack  in layers with fresh fruit in between and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup on top
Lemon Squeeze
  • 2 washed apples
  • 1/3 of a lemon with peel
Juice all and pour over ice. Apples and lemons help to soothe, clean and eliminate toxins.
The Red One
  • 1 large orange, remove skin but leave the white pith
  • 2 carrots, top and tail washed
  • 1 small raw beetroot with ends removed and scrubbed well
  • 3cm piece ginger
Chop to a size to suit your juicer and pour over ice. Oranges and carrots are a good source of betacarotene and are said to be important for eyesight and skin.
Immune Booster
  • Small piece of fresh ginger, washed
  • 1/2 or 1 apple if larger shot required, washed
  • Slice of lemon with peel, washed
Juice all and drink as a shot. Ginger has anti inflammatory effects, a natural antibiotic, decongestant and anti histamine.
