Betty Hanley Lee - Committee Member

A seasoned healthcare professional, Betty Lee currently works as the only Breast Cancer Awareness advisor (in Malta). She has ample experience as a lab technician and worked as a Cardiac and Pulmonary Technician at Mater Misericordie Hospital in Dublin with a consultant. However, it was her mastectomy in 2005 that made her aware of the dire situation with regards to breast care and awareness in Malta.

This motivated Betty to set up the Awareness Centre at St Philips Hospital to advise patients on all aspects of breast awareness and offer a prosthesis service of which she is a trained mastectomy fitter. Besides being a grandmother to the gorgeous Casper, she has her own time health corner on the popular television show Flimkien.
