"Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer and accounts for the largest number of cancer-related deaths in women in Europe. It is expected that significantly more women will be confronted with this disease in the future.
Action for Breast Cancer Foundation is campaigning in Malta and Gozo for a quality assured service for diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, which includes screening, as it offers the perspective of saving many lives by detecting cancer at earlier stages."
